Examples of Jane's 2009 projects

We do Like to be Beside the Seaside - Chepping View Primary School, High Wycombe. A Creative Partnerships Project.

Working as part of StoryRoots, Jane’s involvement with the Project started with a seaside themed storytelling performance in school. StoryRoots then accompanied the school on a trip to West Wittering Beach, Sussex. Jane worked with the Year 6 children, starting with activities on the beach to explore their imaginations and collect descriptive words. This was followed by workshops back at school to help the children create their own stories or fabulous fibs based on their experiences at the beach.

“I just wanted to thank you again for the work you have done with the children this week. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and got a lot out of it!...
..I was very impressed with the creativity, language and confidence with which they were able to retell these fabulous fibs.”  Year 6 teacher

This was Jane’s second year working with Chepping View Primary School and she is currently involved with the planning of the school’s 2010 project.

Other projects in partnership with StoryRoots:

Breaking Away from Print – Taking Storytelling Outdoors
Jane has helped deliver training on storytelling in outdoor spaces at Manor Farm Environmental Education Centre, Leicestershire.

Tales from Around the World – Storytelling performance at Scott Lower School, Bedford.
